The forensic nurse can provide health care to victims of violence, accidents or trauma, assessing their conditions and referring them for appropriate medical treatment.

The forensic nurse can work collaboratively with other forensic professionals, such as investigators, experts and lawyers, assisting in investigations and contributing relevant information and evidence.

Evidence Collection

It is the role of the forensic nurse to collect physical evidence of wounds, injuries and trauma in victims of assaults, accidents or crimes, such as blood, saliva, urine and tissue samples.

Identifying Signs of Abuse
